Elizabeth Hall International Celebration This Week

March 2, 2013

Minneapolis, MN – Elizabeth Hall International Elementary School will be recording three original songs they have written, through a program entitled Elders’ Wisdom, Children’s Song at the Minneapolis Media Institute (formerly known as Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis’s recording studio).

Larry Long, Executive Director of Community Celebration of Place and creator of Elders’ Wisdom, Children’s Song, worked with 3rd and 4th grade students at Elizabeth Hall International Elementary School to collectively write these original works to honor three north community elders.

Paul Peterson, Program Chair for Recording and Music Technology at Minneapolis Media Institute, will be overseeing the arranging, recording, and production of these three original songs with assistance from Larry Long and Anthony Galloway, student program specialist for the West Metro Education Program, under the direction of Elizabeth Hall International Elementary School music teacher Rebecca Totzke.

This recording will be taking place on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, Minneapolis Media Institute, 4100 W 76th St, Edina, MN 55435 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
